Our implantologist has extensive experience in the installation of dental implants of all systems, knows the methods of restoring the volume of lost bone and soft tissue. He works with resorbable and non-resorbable membranes, titanium nets. He systematically takes new theoretical and practical courses in surgical dentistry. He attends courses of Ukrainian and international speakers on implantation, bone grafting, soft tissue surgery (closing recessions, increasing the volume of gums around implants, increasing the height of clinical dental crowns), bone splitting and sinus lifting, both open and closed methods. The doctor has extensive experience in restoring a full dentition using the ALL-on-4 and ALL-on-6 concepts. The concept of restoring all teeth on one jaw is recommended for older patients when almost all teeth are either lost or decayed and is based on the complete removal of all teeth and their remains, the placement of 4 implants on one jaw and the manufacture of temporary teeth on the day of surgery, and then permanent teeth after the integration of implants. In 2018, he took part in international implantation courses at the AnthoGyr premium implant system in Chamonix-MontBlanc, France. He actively performs operations to close gum recessions. Patients are often concerned about the ‘drooping’ of the gums around the teeth, increased sensitivity, and this cause’s significant discomfort. Today, gum recession closure has become an affordable and possible operation in a private clinic. A professional approach, careful work, ultra-thin sutures and, of course, competent planning allow you to get the desired result. In 2018, he took a course in navigation surgery: planning and making a surgical template for dental implants. Surgical templates allow the doctor not only to place the implants, but also to place them in the correct position, which leads to the most aesthetic result. Before placing the implant, the doctor takes an impression of the jaw without teeth, scans it, and uses a special programme to model the position of future teeth and implant positions on a computer. Then a template is printed in a 3D printer, processed and used for implantation. Surgical templates allow to successfully performing implantation in difficult situations, with uneven bone volume, lack of any benchmarks, and Mykhailo YEFIMOV is an expert in solving these problems.
